HOW WE PICK
Less scrolling.
More worth watching.
Great skate media is everywhere. Finding it is the hard part. Pure Skate Media cuts through the daily flood and brings the strongest videos, Shorts and overlooked clips together in one focused edit.
We look wider than the usual feed
Our search starts with new releases from trusted skate publishers, brands and contest channels, then moves beyond the obvious names. A strong independent upload gets the same chance to stand out as a release from an established channel.
Today matters, but quality matters more. If the best recent video is a few days old, we would rather show you that than fill the page with something weaker.
Every pick needs a reason
A video has to offer more than a skateboard in the frame. We look for a clear skate moment, useful context and something specific that makes the clip worth your time: the skating, the people involved, the setting, the idea or the way the video captures it.
If the available information cannot support a useful description, we keep the copy short or leave the video out. No invented tricks, riders, history or hype.
A daily edit with distinct roles
Video of the day and Short of the day lead the selection. Other gems add more strong viewing without turning the page into an endless feed. Contest & tours collect specialist releases, while Featured underdogs make room for smaller channels with something genuinely good.
The Archive gem looks backwards: one older video that still deserves another watch.
The Pure Score
Every selected video receives a score from 0.0 to 10.0. Think of it as a quick editorial signal: how strong is the skate-media value of this particular video?
The score considers how clearly the video is about skateboarding, how much concrete context is available and what makes the item distinctive or substantial. Popularity can help us understand momentum, but it does not decide the score. A small-channel underdog can rate just as highly as a major release.
The Pure Score belongs to Pure Skate Media. It is independent from YouTube and is never paid for by a publisher or advertiser.
AI helps us check more, not say more
AI helps compare a broad set of releases and turn publisher-supplied information into a clear viewing guide. Its value to you is coverage: more channels can be considered without lowering the bar.
The source still sets the limit. Names, tricks, locations and background details are used only when the title or publisher description supports them. Rich sources can produce a fuller story; thin sources get concise copy rather than filler.
Fresh daily, useful beyond today
The homepage changes as better videos earn their place, while every published edition remains available in the archive. Related picks connect videos by format or channel, so a good find can lead to another one regardless of the day it appeared.
